CelloWorld(); is MIT's first and only cello club! We perform, practice, arrange, and record cello music. We organize an ensemble that performs at events on campus, and a reading group that sight-reads music together. We also hold community events, like a caroling session (the Holiday Cellobration!) in Lobby 10 every December. We play a variety of music, including classical, pop, movie soundtracks, and musical songs.

Our ensemble, Cello++, rehearses weekly, puts on a showcase each semester, and performs at events around campus such as Tech Twinkles and the CPW Closing Show. We mostly perform pieces arranged by our very own members (see our sheet music collection)!
When we're on campus, our reading group meets every other week to sight-read together. We read all kinds of music. Come for a break from psets! This is the chillest, cello-est group on campus :)
We set aside budget each semester to build an inventory of cello supplies (strings, mutes, rockstops, etc.) which we provide to cellists in need at MIT!
Around once a semester, we put together a video project! We especially recorded quite a few multitrack projects during pandemic years. View past projects on our YouTube page!
